AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Ave Maria University Lady Gyrenes will play two conference games this week. AMU will host Northwood University on Thursday night at 5:00. Seniors, Madison McDonald and Ashlee Rioux will be honored at the conclusion of the game as they play their last regular season game at Tom Golisano field house. On Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.; the Blue and Green will play Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla. to finish the regular season.
The Lady Gyrenes are currently 15-13; 6-10 in TSC play on the season. They are currently in seventh place in the conference standings.
GREEN AND BLUE NEWSThe Ave Maria women's basketball team went 2-1 last week against TSC opponents. AMU defeated Florida Memorial 87-65. All five starters scored in double figures led by Yvanessa Vincent (17 points, 12 rebounds) and Annie Artise (11 points, 11 rebounds) who both had a double-double. In the second game of the week, the Lady Gyrenes defeated Thomas University 79-60. In the lone road game on the week, the Lady Gyrenes were defeated 50-81 by St. Thomas. Lauren Gillingham had a strong week as she averaged 14.3 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in the three games. Vincent also had a big week as she averaged 11 points and eight rebounds on the week. Four of the regular starters all averaged over 10 points in games played.

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKSIn the Lady Gyrenes first meeting with the Seahawks this season, AMU lost 66-69. Northwood is currently 4-20 overall, 3-12 in TSC play. Last week they were defeated by Florida Memorial 80-61. Dana Gildea is averaging 11.8 ppg, while Stephanie Granada is averaging 4.2 apg to lead the Seahawks.
SCOUTING THE ROYALSEarlier in the season, the Lady Gyrenes defeated Warner; 74-46. The Royals are currently 6-18 overall, 2-13 in TSC play. Last week they were defeated by conference frontrunner Webber 50-46. Marie Fleurival is averaging is 10.4 ppg and 7.2 rpg to lead the Royals. Currently, Warner is nationally ranked:
