AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Ave Maria baseball team suffered a series opening loss to Webber International University at home Friday afternoon. The final score from the Sun Conference matchup was 11-3 in favor of the Warriors.
Aaron Pigna (Miami, Fla.), Billy Pryor (Cape Coral, Fla.) and Tucker Starkey (Mayville, Ky.) each scored one of the Gyrenes three runs on the day.
A.J. Arroyo (New York, New York) and Taylor Reeves (Henderson, N.C.) both had a team high two RBIs for the Warriors on Friday afternoon.
