AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Ave Maria University Lady Gyrenes will play three conference games this week. The Lady Gyrenes will host Florida Memorial on Tuesday night at 5:30. AMU will also have home court advantage on Thursday evening at 5:00 pm against Thomas University. On Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Blue and Green will play Southeastern in Lakeland, Fla.
.The Lady Gyrenes are currently 13-12, 4-9 in TSC play on the season.
GREEN AND BLUE NEWSThe Ave Maria women's basketball team went 1-1 last week against TSC opponents. AMU defeated Embry- Riddle 87-65 to keep themselves in the race for the conference tournament. Taylor Lindsey had a standout game scoring a career high 28 points. Four players scored in double figures. In the second game of the week, the Lady Gyrenes were defeated by St. Thomas 50-70. St. Thomas is currently in the top spot in the conference standings. Lindsey had a strong week as she averaged 20.6 points, three steals, 2.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds in the two games. Annie Artise continues to be a threat on both ends of floor as she averaged 16.5 points, five rebounds, and 1.5 blocks on the week.

SCOUTING THE LIONSIn the Lady Gyrenes first meeting with the Lions this season, AMU lost 55-66. Florida Memorial is currently 8-15 overall, 5-7 in TSC play. Last week they were defeated by Johnson & Wales 105-77. Nicole Collins is averaging 113.8 ppg, while Abreona Cabell is averaging 8.46 rpg to lead the Lions. SCOUTING THE NIGHTHAWKSEarlier in the season, the Lady Gyrenes lost to Thomas; 57-73. The Nighthawks are currently 9-12 overall, 6-6 in TSC play. Last week they were defeated by conference frontrunner Webber 50-46. Courtney Saunds is averaging is 17.8 ppg and 2.3 apg to lead the Thomas. Currently, Thomas is nationally ranked:
