Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - - The Ave Maria Women's Lacrosse team lost to Point University 5-8 in a close game early Friday afternoon. The Lady Gyrenes are currently 0-4 overall, and 0-3 in NWLL play.
Ave Maria will play four games next week in the Atlanta area, starting with a NWLL matchup against Truett McConnell College on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Leading the way offensively for AMU was Kaylin Mayeski who continues to be successful behind cage; scoring two goals. Lydia Buckley also scored two, while Abby Castro scored one goal. Valeria Tkacik and and Buckley each had an assist in the loss for the Lady Gyrenes. Catie Cox led the team with eight ground balls.
Goalie, Hannah Camerota had 19 saves for the Blue and White.
