AVE MARIA, Fla. --- On Sunday afternoon, the Ave Maria men's soccer team will take to the pitch once again for a match with Trinity College. The game, which was originally scheduled for this Saturday, will be the Gyrenes first action in over a week.
AMU enters this weekend 0-2 on the season but has already seen improvement after suffering a 5-1 loss to Trinity Baptist in their opener. In their last game, the Gyrenes fell again to Trinity Baptist but this time by the final score of 1-0. The lone goal of the game came on a penalty kick in the 89
th minute.
The Blue and Green will continue to look to their defense to put them in position for their first victory of the season on Sunday afternoon in North Park.
Scouting Trinity CollegeStill new to the collegiate soccer scene, Trinity College is now in their program's second season in 2015. They also will enter this weekend looking to pick up their first win after starting the season 0-3.
The Tigers and Gyrenes met for the first time in 2014 as AMU was able to notch a victory.
