Gyrenes Edged At Webber

LAKE WALES, Fla. --- The Gyrene Football team fell on the road on Saturday, dropping a 14-9 contest at Webber. The Blue and Green held a 6-0 lead before 14 unanswered points by Webber gave the Warriors the lead.

AMU would hold that lead into the second quarter before the Warriors scored on a one-yard rush by Bargaineer made it 7-6 Webber. Another touchdown rush by Bargaineer later in the quarter made it 14-6 at the half.

After a scoreless third quarter, Brandon Leon nailed a 28-yard field goal to cut the AMU deficit to five, 14-9. The Gyrenes had a couple chances to score later in the quarter but were unable to find the endzone.
