AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria Lady Gyrene Soccer Team was defeated 1-0 by the visiting SCAD Bees on Saturday. Ave Maria and SCAD were scoreless until a Bee goal in the 81st minute.
 
Ave Maria drops to 4-8 on the season and to 2-5 in Sun Conference play.
 
Darcy Aders scored the lone goal of the game for SCAD putting in a rebound off a previous SCAD shot.
 
SCAD outshot AMU 20-6 and had six more shots than the Lady Gyrenes on goal, 10-4.
 
Francesca Singleton made nine saves and allowed the one goal in the loss.
 
Ave Maria returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Florida Memorial.
