Box Score THOMASVILLE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's basketball fell, 71-66, on the road on Saturday night when they traveled to Thomasville to take on the Nighthawks. Ave Maria drops to 2-3 overall and to 1-1 in Sun Conference action.
 
Malik Mayeux led the Gyrenes with 18 points and nine rebounds. Tejai Allen added 16 points while Deonte Dixon finished with 10 points. Exor Torres had eight points, six assists and five steals for the Gyrenes.
 
For Thomas, Javoris Cooks had 25 point and eight rebounds to lead the Nighthawks. Jalen Bonds has seven points and 10 rebounds.
 
The Gyrenes return to action on Tuesday when they take on NCAA DI Binghamton at home at 7 p.m. before heading to NCAA DI Florida International for an exhibition on Wednesday.
