Box Score THOMASVILLE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria women's basketball team fell on the road on Saturday at Thomas, 66-56. The Blue and Green trailed by 15 after three quarters of play before outscoring Thomas 19-14 in the fourth to close the gap.
 
Lauren Gillingham led the Lady Gyrenes with 16 points. Jasmine Bateman added 11 for AMU as 11 different players scored.
 
J'Nyiah Daniels led four Thomas players in double-figures with 15 points.
 
Thomas used an 18-9 second quarter to turn a one-point first quarter lead into a 10-point halftime advantage, 30-20. The Lady Gyrenes started to find their rhythm in the second half, scoring 17 points in the third and 19 in the fourth.

It's a quick turnaround for the Lady Gyrenes as they travel to St. Augustine to take on Flagler tomorrow at 1 p.m.
