WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's basketball team fell to Keiser 84-57 on Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach. Martez Harris led the Gyrenes with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Brandon Dean added 12 points and five boards for AMU. Eric Richardson tallied 11 points for the Blue and Green.
Keiser jumped out to an early lead with a near perfect first half. The Seahawks shot 64 percent in the first half from the field and made 7-of-10 from three to take a 51-21 lead into halftime. AMU was 7-of-25 from the field in the first half.
For the game, Ave Maria shot 30 percent for the game and was 2-of-13 from three. AMU made 23-of-27 from the free throw line.
Tyrus Weaver led Keiser with 29 points. Deion McClenton (15 pts.) and Brice Jenkins (12 pts.) also finished in double-figures for Keiser.
Ave Maria returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Florida Memorial for an 8 p.m. tilt.
