Ave Maria Baseball picked up a  much needed win against Edward Waters College in Jacksonville on Monday night. The 7-3 vicotry snapped a three game skid from the Gyrenes and now puts them at 6-10 on the season.Â
Freshman Zach Rose was tabbed with the start for the green and blue and gave his team 4.2 strong innings, exiting trailing 2-0. Relievers Jesse Crosno, Andrew Giddens and Justin Bureau would combine to allow just one run over the the final four frames holding the Tigers to just three runs. Giddens would earn his first win of the season.Â
On the offensive side, the Gyrenes exploded late as Conor Sullivan and R.J. Warnock combined for five RBI.Â
AMU and Edward Waters will be back in action on Tuesday for a double header begining at 1 p.m. to conclude the three game series.Â
