AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Men's Soccer team fell to the visiting Falcons of Florida College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-0. Florida College netted two in the opening half before extending their lead with a third in the 68th minute.
 
Shots were relatively even with Florida College outshooting AMU 14-11 but the Falcons were able to put 12 on goal compared to five by AMU. All three goals for Florida College were scored by Gregorio Calvillo in the 19th, 21st, and 68th minutes.
 
Jeff Henkel and Sebastian Mayorga each had two shots with both going on net. Juan Carlos Bucaram took a pair of shots and had one shot on goal. Five others took shots for AMU.
 
Andrea Salomone got the start in net for the Gyrenes and played the first half, allowing two goals and making seven saves. Michael O'Donnell played the second half and tallied two saves and giving up one goal.
 
Ave Maria returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Johnson & Wales for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
