AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria volleyball team dropped a four-setter to Coastal Georgia on Saturday. The Gyrenes move to 5-13 overall with the loss.

After dropping the first set 25-17, AMU tied the match at one with a 25-21 second set win. The Gyrenes led in the third set 13-10 before nine straight points by Coastal Georgie led to a 25-16 win. The Mariners closed out the match 25-19 in the fourth.

CCGA had eight services aces on the day compared to three by AMU and had eight fewer attack errors than the Gyrenes.

Katie O'Donnell led the Gyrenes with 15 kills and 15 digs. Jenna Barnak had nine kills for AMU. Lauren Ruby finished with a double-double with 21 assists and 18 digs to go along with eight kills. Cassie Dais also had a double-double with 13 digs an 12 assists.

The Gyrenes return to action on Wednesday when they host Warner in a Sun Conference contest.
