Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. --- The Ave Maria University volleyball team defeated Florida Memorial on Saturday in five sets in the Gyrenes' Sun Conference opener. AMU improves to 3-3 on the season.
 
Florida Memorial won the opening set 25-22. The Gyrenes came back to win the next two sets 25-21 and 26-24. After the Lions won the fourth set 25-22, Ave Maria won the fifth and deciding set 15-12 to take the match.
 
Ave Maria returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Warner for a TSC match-up.
