Box Score AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Mara women's tennis team fell to the College of St. Mary (Neb.) 9-0 on Saturday afternoon. Ave Maria returns to action on Wednesday when they host St. Thomas for senior day.
 
St. Mary jumped out to a 3-0 lead, claiming all three doubles points. Avery Harkey and Camilla Branstner fell 8-2 in the first position while Lauren McCarthy and Amy Gateau dropped a 8-0 decision at two-doubles. Kutina Carlos and Anna Mahoney rounded out doubles play, dropping the third match 8-1.
 
In singles play, Branstner was defeated 6-1, 6-1 at one-singles. After dropping a tough first set, Harkey was bested in two sets, 6-3 6-0 at the second spot. McCarthy fell 6-1 in the first set before retiring in the second. Mary Moede, Mahoney, and Carlos also competed for AMU in singles play.
