AMU Athletes Succeed Academically

AVE MARIA, Fla. --- Throughout this year, Ave Maria student-athletes have excelled both athletically and in the classroom. A total of 48 student-athletes earned Conference All-Academic Team recognition and 27 of them earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete honors.
 
Last year , AMU had 40 student athletes earn Conference All-Academic honors and 25 were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Two years ago, AMU had 42 student athletes earn Conference All-Academic honors and 22 were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.
 
In order to be recognized as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
 
To be eligible for Sun Conference All-Academic team recognition, the recipient must have a 3.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale, be a sophomore with two semesters complete at their current institution. For Mid-South Conference All-Academic team recognition, the recipient must have a 3.25 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale, be a sophomore with two semesters complete at their current institution.
