Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.- The Ave Maria women's soccer team fell 10-0 to the Southeastern University Fire, the nation's fifth-ranked team, on Saturday afternoon. Southeastern scored six goals in the first half and four in the second half to claim the win in the conference matchup.

The Fire were led by Florida State transfer Yulie Lopez and All-American Uchenna Kanu, who both logged two goals and an assist. The Gyrenes were able to limit the impact of the All-American Kanu, who scored just twice after scoring a combined ten goals in her last two games against AMU. The other six Southeastern goals were provided by Rachel Boyd, Abby Leake, Bania Duran, Skyler Streets, Kristal Pesina, and Rachel Wallace.

Ave Maria was outshot 30-1 in the losing effort, with the lone shot coming from senior Hannah Lawrence. Molly Jensen and Sofia Lopez split time in net, as Jensen stopped seven shots and Lopez turned away one of the two shots she faced.

The schedule continues to provide challenges for Ave Maria, as the next match comes against the current No. 1 team in the nation, the Keiser University Seahawks. Kickoff in West Palm Beach is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at Arrigo-Vecellio Field.
