Kyle Houts is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Ave Maria University baseball program, joining the staff in early 2023.
Prior to joining the staff at Ave Maria, Houts was the associate head coach at Lane College in Tennessee, an NCAA Division II member. Lane College was Houts' first full-time stop, with two years as a graduate assistant at Iowa Lakes Community College marking the beginning of his coaching career.
Away from the college game, Houts has also spent time as a head coach in the Coastal Collegiate Baseball League in Jacksonville and an intern and the Academy Hitting Director at Driveline Baseball in Washington State.
Houts, who is originally a native of Spring Lake, Michigan, played his college baseball at Calvin University, playing 89 games over three seasons at the NCAA Division III school.
