John Paul Harper is entering his first season as a member of the Ave Maria coaching staff. Harper will serve as an offensive assistant, and will assist in the kicking game.

Harper graduated from Ave Maria in 2020, and was a kicker and punter for the Gyrenes during his career. Between 2017 and 2019, Harper logged 62 punts for 1970 yards, including a long of 54 yards in 2017.
