Mike Armstrong is entering his fifth season on the Ave Maria football staff. He began his coaching career in 2012 as the video coordinator and as an assistant defensive line coach. In 2014, Coach Armstrong transitioned to director of football operations and tight ends coach. In 2016, Coach Armstrong will continue to serve as the director of football operations and has taken on the role of recruiting coordinator.
 
Coach Armstrong played defensive end for Chowan University in North Carolina, graduating with a degree in sports management in 2010.
