Ted Elsasser just completed his 16th season coaching kickers, and his fourth season at Ave Maria University.
In 2018 and 2019, Ave Maria's kicking game became a major team strength. Devyn McCormick was selected as an All-Sun Division player in both seasons, while his younger brother Derek McCormick earned first team honors as a freshman in 2019.
Prior to coming to AMU, Elsasser was the kicking coach for five seasons at St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., where he was also lead instructor for the SJC Kick and Punt Camp. Several of his players earned first-team all-conference honors before going on to college careers. Elsasser had previously coached special teams, including kicking and punting, at Pallotti High School in Maryland for seven seasons.
