Jillian Miller

Jillian Miller is in her third season with the Ave Maria University women's basketball program.

Miller has been anĀ assistant for head coach Alex Moorehead during her two seasons on campus. The Gyrenes have advanced to the final four of The Sun Conference Tournament in both of her two seasons at Ave Maria, with players from both teams earning All-Sun Conference honors.

For her efforts as Ave Maria's top assistant during the 2021-22 season, Miller was named a finalist for national Assistant Coach of the Year at the NAIA level by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

Miller came to Ave Maria following three seasons in the high school coaching ranks, as well as two seasons as a player at the NCAA Division III level.

Directly before coming to Ave Maria, Miller was an assistant coach for the girls basketball team at Mayfield High School in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. During her first season on the bench, Mayfield had their best record in a decade, going 18-6 with a 10-4 record in league play. Her duties at Mayfield included being the head coach of the junior varsity program.

Before her coaching days, Miller played two seasons of college basketball at John Carroll University, an NCAA Division III program in Ohio. Miller was a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference recipient, and earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science.Ā 

Miller is certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.Ā
