Taylor Hodge

Taylor Hodge enters his fifth year at Ave Maria University as Sports Information Director and Assistant Athletic Director and third as Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach. Hodge took over the golf program on an interim basis in January 2016 before being named head coach Summer 2016.
 
Prior to joining the Ave Maria athletics department in September 2013, Hodge served as athletic media relations assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. At UAB, Hodge served as the primary contact for women’s soccer and men’s and women’s golf as well as the secondary contact for baseball. Hodge assisted with writing press releases, maintain statistics, coordinating with local media, and the development of game notes and media guides.
 
Before moving to Birmingham, Ala., Hodge was a sports information student assistant at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Mich. He assisted with all of Davenport’s 26 sports and served as the primary contact for the ACHA DI men’s hockey, men’s rugby, men’s lacrosse, bowling, cheer, and dance teams.
 
During the summer of 2012, Hodge was the media intern for the West Michigan Sports Commission where he developed banners, credentials, promotional materials, press releases, and e-newsletters for the sports commissions’ two main events, the 2012 Meijer State Games of Michigan and the 2012 Transplant Games of America.
 
Hodge graduated from Davenport with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in sport management and a master’s of business administration degree in strategic management.
 
A native of Holland, Mich., Hodge currently resides in Ave Maria, Fla., with his wife Erin.
