    Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
Benji Works enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Ave Maria women’s soccer program. Works brings a wealth of experience both as a player and coach to AMU.
 
Following a successful high school career, Works went on to play soccer in college at Campbellsville University from 1998-2002. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Ministry, Works continued his playing career as a goalkeeper with Bolton Ambassadors FC in England. He competed with Bolton’s Reserves and the First Team. His first several matches for Bolton were historic, as he did allow a goal in eight games.
 
Later in 2002, Works assisted in coaching for the Bolton Ambassadors FC Ladies. His first game as coach with Bolton Ambassadors FC Ladies was against New Castle United in the FA Cup. He also served as the assistant coach on the men’s side for Bolton Ambassadors FC Reserves. Finally, Coach Works assisted in coaching at Gyal Juniors Professional Team in Hungary, as well as coaching in camps and clinics across 31 different countries.
 
In 2005, Benji moved to Florida to coach at The First Academy in Orlando. Works went on to assist at Kathleen High School and then became the Women’s Head Coach at Winter Haven with an overall record of 24-2.
 
From 2011-2013, Benji Works assisted the men’s team at Lindsey Wilson College. He helped coach the undefeated 2011 NAIA National Champions and Mid-South Conference Champions. During Works’ time with Lindsey Wilson College, the final record was 45-2, including one national championship, two conference championships, and two final four appearances.
 
During his time as assistant coach at Lindsey Wilson College, Works coached the U.S Region II Olympic Development Program where he went undefeated in two seasons. He also coached a competitive club team, the Kentucky Rush.
 
From 2013-2015, Works continued his coaching career at First Baptist Academy in Naples, Fla. His team held the highest GPA in all of Florida and he was awarded Coach of the Year for the 2014-2015 season.
 
In the summer of 2015, Works coached the Women’s World Cup Soccer Tour with Athletes in Action in Canada. He coached players from all over the world including – Ireland, Honduras, Canada, England, Croatia and the USA. He united the team of diverse players and found success against several top Universities in Canada.
 
Coach Works moved on to be the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Johnson University Florida for the 2015 season.
 
Benji with his wife, Breanna, have one son, Boaz.
