Cooper Huskey is in his third year at Ave Maria, and his first year as the head of the Sports Information Department. Huskey is responsible for all communications aspects of the athletic department, including broadcasting, social media, graphic design, and game day operations.
During his first year as a member of the sports information department, Huskey was honored twice in the NAIA Publications Contest, earning top ten national finishes in Call of the Year and Game Notes. In his second year, he earned top ten finishes in Game Notes and Sport Posters.
Huskey as served as broadcaster for several summer collegiate baseball franchises, including the Seminole County Snappers of the Florida Collegiate Summer League and the Walla Walla Sweets of the West Coast League.
Huskey graduated from the University of Alabama in the spring of 2022. During his time in Tuscaloosa, he was a Sports Intern at WVUA 23, and worked as a show host at the campus radio station, WVUA-FM.
He also worked as a production intern as 1010 XL / 92.5 FM Jax Sports Radio in his hometown of Jacksonville, and interned with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp as a media intern for the 2021 season. Huskey was also the public address announcer at Bishop Kenny High School during his high school career.
