David Diaz

David Diaz joins the Ave Maria coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season. Diaz has had many stops as a coach before making his way to South Florida, both as a head coach and Techinical Director. Most recently, Diaz was the Technical Director of Stellar FC, putting him in charge of the club’s technical philosophy and long-term player development strategies. Before that Diaz was the head coach for Lake Travis High School in Texas. Outside of soccer, Diaz was a United States Marine and served from 2001 to 2009.
