Jacob King is in his third season as an assistant coach for the Ave Maria cross country and track and field programs.
Under the direction of head coach Alan Webb, King is tasked with coaching the school's distance runners, both during the fall in cross country competition and during the spring in track competition.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, King was a member of the marathon team during his time in Chapel Hill. He competed in one half and four full marathons, qualifying for the New York and Boston Marathons in 2019. He also held a leadership role on the team, serving as an officer.
King was also a successful runner in high school, earning All-Region honors at Vestal High School in New York, where he was named a team captain as a senior.
