Jim Ferguson was hired at Ave Maria in January of 2025 as an Athletic Trainer, and is currently in his second year with the University.
Ferguson is now in his 31st year as a licensed athletic trainer. Before coming to Ave Maria, Ferguson worked as a trainer in the high school setting in Illinois. Ferguson's main focus during that time was training wrestlers. He has trained four Illinois wrestling state champions and worked with a world champion MMA fighter.
Ferguson is a graduate of Northern Illinois University. Before that, he played college soccer at the University of North Carolina at Willmington for a year.
