Lucas McCormick is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Ave Maria University track and field program. His primary role within the AMU track and field program will be as a coach for the team's pole vaulters.
McCormick competed collegiately at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, an NCAA Division III program. He spent two seasons as a pole vaulter in La Crosse, pushing his jumps as high as 4.75 meters and finishing in the top ten in all four conference meets during his career.
Following his time as a competitor, McCormick spent one season as a student assistant at UW La Crosse, where he earned his degree in biology. Following graduation, he earned a doctorate of chiropractic medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
