Dr. Patrick Joyner from OrthoCollier joins the Sports Medicine staff as one of it's two team doctors. Joyner graduated with a B.S. in Biology from UNC Pembroke, an M.A. in Microbiology & Cell Science from the University of Florida and got his doctorate from the Penn State College of Medicine. From 2007 to 2012, Joyner completed his orthopedic surgery internship and his residency at the Duke University Medical Center. in 2013, he completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship with Dr. James Andrews.
Joyner is a certified expert knee and shoulder arthroscopist, being accredited by the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
Joyner also served as the chief surgeon for the Naval Special Warfare Command before joining the Gyrenes.
