Trinity Medina is in her third season as a member of the Ave Maria University softball staff. She was named the program's head coach of July of 2025.
Medina came to AMU after one season at Benedictine College, where she served as a graduate assistant for the 2023 season.
Medina has also served as a coach in several travel organizations, including Illinois Storm Elite and Dennison Silverhawks Softball Association.
Medina played three seasons at Indiana Wesleyan University, playing 74 games over three seasons for the Wildcats. Trinity started her collegiate career at 2B and batting 2nd as a switch hitter and slapper for the Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats. As a freshman she played in a total of 60 games and started in 59 of them. She ended her first season with a .341 batting average, 43 stolen bases with a 3rd place leaderboard finish for the program, and an OBP of .500. After her freshman year she spent the rest of her college career as a starter in centerfield and left field and moving through the line up as a power hitter and slapper. She finished her career with 7 home runs, a .338 batting average, 83 stolen bases, and over 50 put outs between CF and LF. During her years at IWU, she had 2 Crossroads Regular Season Champion titles, 1 Crossroads Tournament Champion title, 4 NAIA Opening Round Appearances, and finishing 5th in the Nation at the NAIA 2022 World Series.
She brings a broad knowledge of the game with fielding experience at every position and between the batter's box with a focus on speed and IQ. Her passion and enthusiasm for growth motivates athletes to be their best.Â
She earned her degree from IWU in business administration with a double major in sports management, and is pursuing a Master's of Business Adminstration from Ave Maria.
