William Mier is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Ave Maria University track and field program. Mier's main role with the track and field program will be as a coach for the Gyrene sprinters and jumpers.
Mier brings nearly 50 years of experience to Ave Maria, serving at schools across the Midwest. Most recently, Mier was the assistant coach at Waukesha South High School in Wisconsin from 2006-2023, and well as the assistant coach at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee from 2022-2024.
He has also served at the collegiate level, coaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette University during his career.
