Lexy Smith has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 28th, 2014. Lexy led the Gyrenes to a 2-1 week, posting double-digit kills in all three matches. She also had three solo blocks and assisted on 11 blocks on the week. 

The Blue and Green have a pair of early week conference matches this week, hosting Warner on Tuesday before traveling to Northwood on Wednesday.
