Ave Maria

Annie Artise has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 18th, 2015. This is the third time this season that Annie has received the weekly honor. 

The 5-10 guard averaged 13.3 points and eight rebounds per game over three games during the week and was a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe. In addition, she surpassed a personal milestone; scoring the 1,000th point of her career in the AMU loss to Southeastern on Thursday night.

Annie is the fifth Lady Gyrene to become a member of the 1,000 point club at AMU.

The Blue and Green are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Northwood for a 5p.m. tip.
