Cheyenne Benson has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 29th, 2015. This is the second time this season that Cheyenne has received the weekly honor.
 
The senior pitcher/utility player had a solid outing in the circle in game one against conference foe Southeastern on Saturday. She gave up just four hits and allowed only one earned run over seven innings of work. At the plate she finished hitting .333 (2-6) on the day. 

The Lady Gyrenes return to action when they host the Warner Royals for a twinbill slated to begin at 2p.m. on Thursday.
