Volleyball's Monique Rivers has been named this week's Co-Female Athlete of the Week. It's the first time this season that she has been named the Gyrenes Female Athlete of the Week. 

Rivers leads AMU with 52 digs on the season. She also has tallied five service aces. Monique recorded 25 digs over three matches this past weekend including 10 in each of the matches on Saturday. She tallied a season-best 18 digs against Florida National on Aug. 15.

The Lady Gyrenes return to action this weekend when they travel to Lake Wales, Fla., to take part in the Warner Labor Day Invitational. The Blue and Green will face Central Methodist (Mo.) and Florida National on Friday before facing Dickinson State (N.D.) on Saturday.
