Ave Maria, FL -- This afternoon, the Ave Maria Men's Soccer team played Florida College in a game that was originally scheduled for earlier this season but was called off because of weather. Today's game was the second contest between the two, the first of which resulted in a 5-0 win for the Falcons. The Gyrenes, who have taken great stride during the course of the 2015 season, showed that they are an improved squad from their first match with FC but still fell short by the score of 1-0.

The match was tightly contested the entire way as both teams played a stout defense. There were only 6 shots on goal from the two sides, one of which found the back of the net for Florida College. Sean Tierney put a headed a cross from Kristopher Ospina past the Ave Maria goalkeeper in the 47th minute to set the score at 1-0.
