AVE MARIA, Fla. --- Scoreless at the half, Southeastern netted a pair of goals in the second stanza to defeat the Ave Maria women's soccer team 2-0. The Lady Gyrenes fall to 2-2 on the season.

The Blue and Green were outshot 10-1 in the first half but were able to go into the break even at 0-0 thanks to four first half saves by goalkeeper Francesca Singleton.

Southeastern broke through in the second half with a goal in the 58th minute by Sam Pifer. She was assisted by Hunter Talley. Bre Eldridge made it 2-0 with a goal in the 80th minute off a pass from Jai Sterling.

The Lady Gyrenes finished with seven shots, four of which came on frame. Southeastern totaled 22 shots with 12 of those going on goal.

Singleton took the loss to fall to 2-2 on the season. She made 10 saves and allowed two goals. Kaitlyn Romero picked up the win for SEU after making four saves in the shutout.

Anna Organvidez recorded a team-high two shots for AMU. Four other players recorded a shot for the Lady Gyrenes.
