LAKELAND, Fla. --- Making their first appearance in The Sun Conference Tournament, the Ave Maria women's soccer team was ousted 8-0 at two-seed Southeastern. Ave Maria concludes the season with a 5-11 record and a 3-8 record in Sun Conference play.

Southeastern opened the scoring with a goal in the 10th minute by Alyssa Kaminski. Midway through through the first half, three quick goals for the Fire by Uchenna Kanu (21st minute), Kaminski (26th minute), and Brenna Bloom (30th minute) made the advantage 4-0 for Southeastern. Just before the half, Chloe Durham scored to make it 5-0.

In the second half, goals by Shayna Cole (49th minute), Nicole Shaffer (55th minute), and Bania Duran (66th minute) made the score 8-0 Southeastern.

Ave Maria finished with six shots and three shots on goal compared to 27 shots and 16 shots on goal for the Fire.

Francesca Singleton made eight saves in net for the Lady Gyrenes.
