WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. --- Annie Artise led the Lady Gyrenes with 19 points and pulled to within four of 1,000 career rebounds in the Ave Maria women's basketball team's 77-63 loss at Keiser on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Gyrenes drop to 10-14 overall and to 3-11 in Sun Conference play while Keiser improves to 14-13 overall and to 7-7 against TSC opponents.

Lauren Gillingham had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Blue and Green while Katie Houbolt added eight points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

AMU shot 32.4 percent from the field and were 7-of-29 from three. AMU was 12-of-13 from the free throw line. Keiser was 47 percent for the game from the field and made 7-of-15 from three. Keiser was 22-of-26 from the free throw line.

Courtney Murphy led Keiser with a game-high 24 points. Claudia Reque had 12 points and nine assists for the Seahawks.

Keiser jumped out to an early lead, going on an 11-0 run to take a 13-2 advantage six minutes into the opening quarter. The Seahawks went on to lead by as many as 13 in the quarter and led by 11, 19-8, heading to the second. In the second quarter, AMU cut the deficit to five early on but a late run gave Keiser a 33-23 edge at the half.

Ave Maria kept with Keiser in the third quarter but weren't able to cut into their lead and trailed 55-44 after three. The Seahawks outscored AMU 22-19 in the fourth to close out the game 77-63.

Ave Maria returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Florida Memorial for a 6 p.m. tilt.
