LAKE WALES, Fla. --- The Ave Maria softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Warner on Friday afternoon. The Blue and Green fell 5-0 in game one before dropping game two 4-1.

Warner scored four of their five runs in the third inning to take a 4-0 lead on AMU in game one. The Royals added a run in the fifth to make it 5-0.

Sadie Mosher took the loss in game one, pitching four innings and allowing four runs, three earned on six hits and two walks. She struck out three. Meghan Sullivan pitched the final two innings and allowed one run on three hits.

Four Lady Gyrenes picked up a hit in game one.

In game two, Warner got on the board first with a three-run first inning behind a two-run home run by Jessica Adams. Warner added a fourth run in the second inning to increase the Lady Gyrene deficit. AMU got a run back in the sixth inning on an Alyssa Colding RBI single to bring in Kingsley Avery.

Colding finished with two hits and an RBI in game two while Danielle Garcia was 3-for-3 at the plate.

Gennifer Raulerson took the loss in game two, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits and one walk over two innings pitched. Therese Aronica pitched the final four innings, allowing one hit and no runs.

AMU returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they take on Southeastern in Lakeland. The doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.Â
