JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- For a second straight day, the Ave Maria volleyball team didn't let an early start phase them, cruising to a 3-0 sweep of Concordia College (Ala.) early this morning.
 
Ave Maria used quick starts in each set and was able to string together runs to complete the sweep 25-5, 25-14, 25-12.
 
The Blue and Green got contributions up and down their roster in the win with eleven different players recording a kill and 12 players picking up a dig.
 
Hannah Wurster recorded eight kills and had two solo blocks for the Lady Gyrenes, both team highs. Lauren Ruby finished with 10 assists, six kills, and four digs while Jessica Schein led the Blue and Green with nine digs.
 
As a team, AMU had 34 kills compared to 13 by Concordia and had 11 service aces compared to one by the Hornets.
 
Ave Maria returns to action this afternoon when they take on host Edward Waters at 4:30 p.m.
