FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's soccer team fell, 6-0, at Nova Southeastern in a late-season, non-conference matchup. The Gyrenes return to action on Saturday when they take on SCAD-Savannah at 12:30 pm in Georgia.
Nova Southeastern used a pair of early goals to set the tone in the game. They scored in the third minute and 11th minute to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The score would remain 2-0 until six minutes into the second half when the Sharks found the back of the net for a third time. NSU added goals in the 69th, 77th, and 88th minutes to make the score 6-0.
Nova Southeastern outshot AMU 20-7 and held a 12-4 edge in shots on goal.
Juan Carlos Bucaram and Kensley Jean Baptiste each finished with two shots and one shots on goal.
Andrea Salomone made six saves in the loss.
