TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla.- The Ave Maria University men's soccer team fell on the road on Saturday, losing a 6-0 decision to Florida College. It was the tenth meeting all-time between the two schools. 

Florida College jumped out to an early lead, scoring on the Gyrenes in the third minute. Sorel St. Fleur gave the Falcons the advantage just 2:37 into the match on an assist from Groutchov Pierre. Florida College added to the lead in the 20th minute on a goal from Gregorio Calvillo, which also was assisted by Pierre. The 2-0 score stayed stagnant for the final 25 minutes of the half.

The hosts scored four times in the second half, three of which came courtesy of Pierre. Calvillo also added his second goal of the game in the 47th minute, part of a stretch where Florida College scored three times in short succession.

Offensively, the Gyrenes put three shots on goal, all of which were stopped by goalkeeper Austin McDaniel. The shots on goal were recorded by Kensley Jean Baptiste, Matias Carbone, and Kevin Schein.

The Gyrenes return to Sun Conference action on Wednesday afternoon, when the Warriors of Webber International University take the field at Ave Maria. Kickoff at the AMU Soccer FIeld is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
