AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria volleyball team took on Florida College Tuesday night in a midweek, non-conference match. The visiting Falcons defeated AMU in straight sets. Ave Maria returns to action tomorrow with a TSC match-up at home against Florida Memorial.

Bre Holder led AMU with six kills on 13 attempts while Erica Chenard, Natalie Rosinski, and Savannah Stanton each tallied five kills. Lauren Ruby finished with 21 assists and Daniela Jaramillo added 19 digs.

Errors doomed the Lady Gyrenes in the first and third sets. Florida College took advantage of 12 errors in the first and 14 in the second to win the sets 25-12 and 25-10, respectively. AMU limited the errors to eight in the second set which they dropped 25-23.

Ave Maria and Florida College each finished with 31 team kills on the night.
