AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria women's basketball team dropped their regular season finale on Saturday against Keiser, 75-55. Keiser used a big 27-8 second quarter to pull away from AMU and put the game out of reach.

Lauren Gillingham and Sarah Miller each recorded double-doubles for AMU. Gillingham finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds while Miller had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Amanda Kasprzak added nine points for the Lady Gyrenes.

AMU shot 36.5 percent on the afternoon while Keiser made 46.8 percent of their shots.

Keiser jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the first quarter but AMU responded with a 13-0 run and held a a 15-14 lead after one quarter of play. AMU was outscored 27-8 in the second to allow Keiser to take a 41-23 lead into the half.

Both teams scored 16 points in the third before Keiser increased their lead in the fourth, outscoring the Lady Gyrenes 18-16 in the final quarter.

Kaylee Patton led three Seahawks in double-figures with 26 points. Dominique Winbush finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lady Gyrenes will be the six seed in the conference tournament. They will play at the three seed. Their opponent is to be determined.
