GULF SHORES, Ala. --- Keiser scored a run in the seventh and eighth innings to complete their comeback and hand the Ave Maria softball team a loss on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Gyrenes move to 13-6 on the season.

It was a high-scoring game early with AMU scoring two runs on a double by Brittney Pressler in the top of the second. After Keiser scored three in the bottom half of the second, AMU responded with three of their own in the next inning. Deanna Stirtzinger had an RBI single in the top of the third followed by a two RBI single by McKayla Jeter.

Keiser tied the game in the bottom of the fourth when they scored two runs on a Blumberg homerun and a Cabral sac fly.

The Lady Gyrenes regained the lead in the top of the sixth inning on a homerun by Pressler.

The Seahawks then scored a run in the seventh and another in the bottom of the eighth to win the game 7-6.

Marinna Shadley had three hits and scored one run for AMU. Pressler also had multiple hits and led the Lady Gyrenes with three RBI. Jeter had two RBI for AMU.

Sadie Mosher allowed 7 runs (five earned) on 10 hits and four walks on the day.

Ave Maria returns to action on Friday when they take on USCB at 2 p.m. in the first of their three-game series.
