After opening their conference play with victory, the Lady Gyrene Volleyball hit the road again to take on Sun Conference opponent St. Thomas University.
 

Ave Maria started the night looking like they were ready to take down the Bobcats, providing them with their first conference defeat of the season. Natalie Rosinski led the offensive charge in the first set, getting five kills, hitting over .700. Lauren Ruby tallied eight assists and Daniela Jaramilo had five digs. The first set went back and forth with neither team able to take any larger of lead than two points. The Bobcats were able to win the crucial points and ended up taking the set.
 

The second and third sets were marred by Lady Gyrene mistakes. They weren't able to get going offensively that led to large leads for St. Thomas. The Bobcats never looked back and continued to apply pressure, being given a match more than earning one, winning in straight sets.

Rosinski finished the night with a team leading eight kills. Hannah Presson and Savannah Stanton each ended the night with six kills apiece. Jaramilo totaled 10 digs on the night and Ruby finished with 14 assists.
 

The Lady Gyrenes will host conference giant Southeastern Fire on Friday night, September 29 at 7pm in the Tom Golisano Field House.
