WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. --- The Ave Maria volleyball team fell to the Keiser Seahawks on Friday night in four set. After dropping the first set, AMU won the second set 25-20 before falling in the final two frames.

Ave Maria hit .159 for the night and hit over .200 in the second and third sets. In those set, AMU recorded 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Keiser hit .240 on the evening including a game-best .317 in the third.

Keiser held the advantage in kills, 59-41, and service aces, 10-2. Both team had 67 digs and finished with a  one-block different, Keiser with five and Ave Maria with four.

Kaedi Gillman led AMU with 15 kills. Lauren Ruby had 18 assists and Daniela Jaramillo tallied 18 digs. Katie O'Donnell and Alejandra Suarez also finished with double-digit digs with 15 and 14, respectively.

Keiser used a eight point run to pull away in the first set and eventually win the set 25-13. In the second set, AMU overcame a 6-1 start by Keiser and rallied back to tie the game at 9-9. Leading 21-20, the Gyrenes won the final four points of the set to win 25-20.

Ave Maria led for the first part of the third set before the Seahawks won eight of ten points to take a 20-15 lead. With AMU trailing by one, Keiser won four of the final five points to close out the set. Keiser used multiple four points runs in the fourth set to finish off the match 25-18.

The Gyrenes return home for three straight matches beginning on Wednesday when they host Florida Memorial at 7 p.m.
