AVE MARIA, Fla. — The Ave Maria football team announced their schedule for the 2025 season Thursday. For the first time since 2019, the Gyrenes will open at home on September 6.

2025 will be the first season of a two-year scheduling partnership between the Sun Conference and the Mid-South Conference. Every team will play one home game and one road game against a team from the other league to open up their schedules.

As part of the partnership, the Gyrenes open 2025 by hosting the Linsdey Wilson Blue Raiders. It is the first time since 2019 that the Gyrenes will begin their season at home. The Gyrenes then go on the road next week for their road game of the partnership, travelling up to Lebanon, Tennessee, to take on the Cumberland Phoenix.

Ave Maria was a football-only member of the Mid-South Conference from 2017 to 2021, playing in the Sun Division. During those seasons, the Gyrenes played Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland just once, both in 2018.

The Gyrenes' last non-conference game in 2025 is home game against Fort Lauderdale.

After those first three games, the Gyrenes jump into conference play, first traveling to St. Thomas. The Bobcats finished the season ranked fifth in the nation but fell in the second round of the NAIA Football Championship Series.

Ave Maria comes back home October 11 against the Webber Warriors, before going on the road in back-to-back weeks against Thomas and Warner to close out the month.

The Gyrenes start November off with back-to-back home games against Keiser and Florida Memorial. Keiser finished the season ranked No. 1 and is still alive in the playoffs, taking on Benedictine in the Semifinals.

AMU ends the year on the road, traveling up to Lakeland to take on Southeastern, who finished year ranked 19th, but missed the playoffs.

All home will be played under the light at Gyrene Field with 7:00 kickoff times. Times for the road games are set by the host school. All Sun Conference games and Ave Maria home games will be broadcast on the Sun Digital Network. Additional information about the Ave Maria football season will be announced, such as any special events associated with the home games, will be announced closer to the season.

Booster Club membership includes All-Sports Season passes with Booster Club Hospitality, two drink tickets per person and free parking at every Ave Maria home game.
